Community Overview

Welcome to the Morningstar Online Community. In addition to online forums, this is a platform where Morningstar customers and other stakeholders can:

  • access answers to frequently asked questions 

  • post photos of your Morningstar systems

  • easily access whitepapers, battery guides, logos, and graphics

  • submit suggestions/feedback about the Community, Morningstar, and new/existing products

  • keep up to date about the latest off-grid industry news and trends

  • contribute and develop a reputation as a thought-leader in the off-grid solar industry

We hope that you will explore the Morningstar Community and review our Guidelines and register to become a member. Non-Community members can read info in the community, but some content and participation privileges such as posting and replying to forums are restricted to members. We highly recommend that you read this entire Overview page to better understand and get the most benefit from the Community.

The Community is comprised of the following sections:

  • About - includes this Overview and a link to Community Guidelines

  • FAQs - includes answers to frequently asked questions about Morningstar products

  • Show & Tell - where you can post pictures and information about systems/applications that deployed Morningstar products

  • Forums - where you can reply to a post or create a new post in a space about charge controllers, inverters, accessories, batteries, applications, miscellaneous etc. (Click the orange "+" icon in the upper right to create a new post. Click "Join" to join the space if necessary).

  • Logos and Graphics - where you can access Morningstar, logos, product photos, and other graphics

  • Marketing Documents - where members can access whitepapers, battery implementation guides and other marketing materials

  • Suggestions/Feedback - where members can submit suggestions and feedback about Morningstar, our products, and our Community.

  • Profile and Account Settings - after registering and logging in as a member, you can click on your icon or initials in the upper right to update your Profile and Settings including how and when you receive notifications.

Community members are encouraged to create, tag, and "Like" the best content so that it is easy for all Morningstar stakeholders to find.

Expectations:

There is no established timeline when another community member or moderator is required to read and reply to your post, but we strive to create a community that is responsive.

Community members shall be respectful and refrain from using profanity or derogatory language.

What the Community Is Not:

The Community is not a substitute for Morningstar Tech Support. Any issues with a product you purchased; questions about warranty claims; complex questions that require detailed trouble shooting; or other matters warranting a Tech Support case submission should be submitted to Tech Support > Contact US.

While members are encouraged to share photos and information about systems they deployed that use Morningstar products, they shall not solicit or attempt to transact business within the community.

The Community is not a place to promote competitors in any way, nor is it a place to mention distributors, pricing data, or legal matters. The Morningstar Contact web page can be used to contact us if you need someone to hear your concerns about these types of matters.

Morningstar moderators and others may edit or comment about content that it identifies to be inaccurate or inappropriate, but Morningstar cannot guaranty the accuracy of all content posted in the Community.
